How's the new FREE delivery working for you? I like the fact that I don't have to send away the little old man wanting to only buy a Roper dryer for under $300. I'd be interested to know how this works for stores that have the outside delivery service. How much do we pay them to deliver? Are we losing money or breaking even?
Some feedback if you please. Try it out over the weekend. Keep track of how often you are getting positive feedback. Let's track that next week. |

I sell appliances at the HD. We have had free delivery for the past 3 months and the customers love it. I am suprised that Lowes waited so long to offer free dleivery. I am sure Sears will be next, but having worked at Sears for 30+ years, I doubt they will do anything to help a customer(except offer them a high priced MA

Yeah but we don't charge additional fees to hook up an ice maker line, install a range or washer/dryer. FREE actually means free at Lowe's. I'm glad though that the industry is leaning this way. |

| Just to clear up any misunderstanding. HD does not charge for water hook up, washer/dryer hook up or haul away. I hope that I never see a rebate form again. | |

| The local HD near me charges $9.98 to hook up an icemaker line. Perhaps they haven't heard that THD doesn't charge for that service. | |

| Thanks for the interesting info. The 5 HD stores in my area do not charge for ice maker hook-up. Most of the ice maker hook-ups that are done are simple to complete. Thanks again for the update info. | |

Some of this might depend as to the codes within the locality and who owns the place.
If someone has an apartment I'm sure the superintendent/owner would want to see any work done. |
