Hi Everyone.
I'm new to this forum and I see lots of people with experience in retail. I always wanted to work in a store like Nordstrom or Dillards. Even Macy, but already read enough bad things about how they treat their employee. I want to work as a sales associate and hopefully one day get a higher position. I would like Nordstrom, but I read they have only commission sales associate jobs and I really want non-comission. Is it true? Nordstrom sales associates work only on commission or the company offers also non-comission? I live in Frisco TX and hopefully soon I can decide for wich store I want to work. With your help.

I used to go to Nordstrom's coffee bar over Starbucks when I worked at a mall with a Nordstrom's.
This is the only advice I have. But anywhere with awesome coffee should make a job easier, right

| Dillards will cut your pay if you dont keep it up..Were at least Nordstrom will be fair..in some respects..They are doing pretty good | |

I worked their for a year and it is the worst job I have ever had, they have Sales Per Hour SPH, where you have to reach 90% to get a raise if not they cut your pay and once it gets below 9.00 and hour they fire you. Also the said fact is that the part timers get raises becasue, there sales per hour is lower and they sell during the busy time in the evening. While the full timers don't get any sales during the moring, because their is less customers in the moring and also because the company has you hanging up merchendise and putting up displays, which will cut in to your SPH. I have a friend who worked at Norstroms a couple of years ago and she liked plus since you work comison you have more of a chance to make more money. Please for the love of god. Do not work there.
