Hello all HD employee's!
Store managers, Zone managers, HRM's and Depart Managers, and all other HD employees..
I have been working at lowes for the past 18 months now.. I have been trying to get into the store and into seasonal now for 10 months.. No one in my store is wanting to help me get in and im filling out all the right paper work and all.. i have gaven them more them enough time and have done all i can do about it accept taking it to lowes HQ.. Do you think i should just say the heck with blowes and come to work at Home Depot? it is important that all is honest with me.. Just so you know i am a loader and have been for nearly 18 months.. Is the HD better then blowes or is it about the same? i know it pays more but its not the money i am looking for.. Its HONESTY..
Thank you,

it's the same shit, just a different toilet. trust me i know i've been at hd for years and i know all about lowes from insiders. here's my advice... apply to hd, get them to give you 1 or 2 $$$ more than what your making now and lowes will either counter offer or let u go. either way you'll come out on top. remember, every job is a stepping stone to the next....................what location are u lookin at?

Thank you for replying
Well i can do that but like i said its not the money im looking for. It a place to be inside so i can better my self with skills, and more i am looking high in the lowes compeny but i guess im just not good enough.. Although im sure that is what they want me to think and all just so i wll give up on it and let it go.. Boy! they have another thing coming to them.. I guess to truely answer your question i have to say i have been also thinking of becoming a P-T, L P for HD or some other place.. Lowes dose not have PT LP's at all come to think about it VEO im glad HD is coming to Florence S.C..

Thank you Veo,
I have known they do have part time LP's but refuse to admit it, if lowes dose not get their act together then it will be bye bye BLOWES and hell Home Depot. "BLOWES" = banthers, lower, of, worms, exchange, services.. "Cant say what it truely means lol anyways laters.

I really think the parts are 100% interchangable. I have seen the calmness and cleanliness of Lowes opposed to the caos and frustration of HD as an employee of the latter and a visitor of the former. Depot has more shoppers? I have read hundreds of message boards that lead me to believe that the only difference between them or any place you work is the particular store management. Most of the beneficial workplace decision making items such as schedule setting and raise amounts have been taken from the local mgrs and are dictated from the corporate office because of the Great Race for market share. The associate support system that Bernie and Arthur used to create HD left when they did. We are frustrated with the question, why isn't this any fun any more? The game has changed. Our area will see the difference first hand soon because we are getting our first Lowes store where HD has been the only game in town for several years. Bottom line: Stay in school.

Lowes does not have PT LP staff, unless you're in a metro market and SC is not a metro market. There is no conspiracy theory, the job doesn't exist. From what I understand from other HD associates you're trading one set of headaches for another. Right on with the stay in school part. You'll be much more qualified for an LPM job if you have some business or criminal justice education to back it up.

I worked for H.D. for six months and I see the morale, or lack thereof, in employees at my local Lowes. I think both corporations treat their employees like chattel. I don't know how you take it. . .I couldn't.
I now work for a small local lumberyard where I'm treated with respect.
