If what you say is true, then Alan should not be able to personally profit from it! Alan acquired about 12,500 shares at about $ 18.00 when the credit sale was announced. Now's it worth $ 40.00 which is a gigantic profit for him ! He should give it back for the good of the company and the employees

Isn't it also true that Alan was the one that got us into the credit card disaster originally, he was head of the credit division before he became CEO.
It was his doing that got us into the terrific default problem by sending Gold Mastercards to millions of people who in turn got cash advances with the idea of never paying it back.
It was his mistake that caused the stock to go from $60.00 to $18.00 in the first place !

Just to make it clear, Lacy sold his shares in March at $18.62, he did not purchase. He did buy some shares at $25.00 last October.

I'm not 100% sure but, I thought I read that he bought shares at about $18.00 a share when he received his "look what i did for you bonus" :)
Added from Ickie's link (thanks)
2003-03-12 12,500 S Disposition (Non Open Market) at $18.62 per share.
(Value of $232,750)
