get this. i when i started the live nusery specalist job i met my
girlfriend she was department manager outside. we kept our relationship quiet but everyone found out anyway.....weve been living together two years and it all seemed fine. then we got a new manager that thought that a woman should not be department manager. he didnt say that but you could tell he didnt like her... so he called me the asm and mygirlfriend in the office and said the district manager asked during a managers meeting how many stores had relationships between managers.our manager said there were three stores in our district that had the problem and he said the district manager said to fix the problem. so he said she had to step down that she was my boss and that was against lowes rules. so she steped down and to keep her on salary they made her a electrical Specialist but she still works outside garden hmmmm is that in the lowes rule book.... that manager only stayed one year and he took another store in a better market. come to
find out he was dating the PTC and they were engauged to be married and now she left to go to a store closer to there new home

Coming from a store where everyone is dating/seeing/or doing every other unmentionable thing with everyone else.. I know exactly where you are coming from. Two department managers were dating associates from other departments. One is now my department manager, his girlfriend is now his wife, and she has been asked to leave. (decision was made after being given an ultimatum... "you step down, or she can quit-- your choice" ). The other couple, working in the same department for quite some time, just became engaged last weekend. Nothings ben done yet, except both of them had to write a statement saying they were "involved". One has already been asked to leave or transfer. Then theres the ASM's... one of them transferred due to so many rumors (and truths) about his "activities", only to cause more trouble at the next store. The rest have no problem openly staring at women's (employees and customers) backsides as they are shopping. I only know of two department managers who HAVENT done something along those lines..(theyre happily married) and they've been department managers for YEARS.. Every other manager?? Promoted to ASM, or Ops positions... Oh and Dont get me started on the front end cashiers....... Rolling Eyes

I started dating the Paint Dept. Manager when I was a CSA in the department, and then continued on when I became a Flooring Specialist. It didn't last, but not for reasons involving Lowes.

A former Home Decor associate was dating the Inside Seasonal Manager, an Electrical Specialist is engaged to an Appliance Specialist, and my manager is dating a cashier. Our store manager recongnizes that Lowes should not dictate our personal lives, and doesn't have a problem with these relationships so long as they play it down while working. For god's sake, Specialists and Managers are there 50+ hours a week, when are we supposed to meet other people?!
