Why did we suddenly experience a drastic slowdown in posts? I don't post all that often, I read a lot. What happened to the regulars?

Agree with RP.....maybe for the first time......

Who do you think as regulars......

Maybe we just read and don't think the posts we are reading are worthwhile to respond to.

Kanaka, there doesn't seem to be much substance on here anymore. Did the spark die with the old RW?

Someone should start with the 5-6 biggest issues facing associates......and limit the main posts to those.

Then any other issues that come up could be listed. Seems like most of the titles on the 3 pages of items could all be condensed into about 10 subjects or so.

The above quote is the truth and everybody who is perceptive at all knows it. I don't own the site, and I fully support the efforts and motivations of people who invest their time and money in any project.

My comment to the owners and supporters of the site "Just don't strap on wool to a chihuahua and call it a sheep".

I'm really sorry if the all bold is uneasy on the eyes of the moderators of the site.

Yeah Jayster, what's with the big chip on your shoulder?

Since you've registered you've contributed nothing to the forum but snide comments and blatant trolls. The guidelines have been posted since day one with an open invitation for comments and criticisms yet I don't see any comments from you, let alone anyone, in there. So, I think it's probably safe to assume that the rules are indeed reasonable and easy to abide by.

To be blunt, if you don't like it, and you've made it quite obvious that you don't (although you've offered nothing of substance that would clarify your opinion to the rest of us), leave. No one's forcing you visit and participate here. You're under no obligation to be here at all. So, if our rules make your life oh so difficult, just go away.

I'd encourage you to stick around and participate in a more constructive manner but, if your brief posting history here is any indication of the extent of your capabilities, it's probably better if you don't.

Feel free to prove me wrong.

Would you like some cheese with your whine?

It is hard on the eyes but, more importantly, it speaks of a deep-seated self esteem issue IMO. Maybe if you post in bold and ALL-CAPS people would lend even greater weight to your opinion. 'Cuz you know, it's not what you say that matters, it's how you display it. /sarcasm

I happen to like the bold. Makes it easier for me to find your posts, I am always interested in your opinions.

I also always liked whathappenedtosears all bold text. Maybe I've not been paying attention, but I have had the feeling that whathappenedtosears had good thoughts, good ideas and maybe an inside track. Am I wrong? Maybe someone should pm me, because there seems to be an undercurrent here that I don't understand.

Whathappenedtosears, enough of the subliminal riddles please. Anyone can tell, from history, that I have absolutely no affiliation with this site. I just support it fully and the way it is run.

Jayster, you've successfully graduated to persona non grata.

I'm busy spending my energy fighting the "real fight" these days: Sears, via legal channels. I have no time to waste on this "conspiracy theory" waste of bandwidth. This is the last I will say on this futile subject. From now on, strictly Sears. (... and maybe a touch of politics here and there, in that other forum Wink )

I just haven't been reading the forum as often to be honest, and when I do, i either don't feel its my place to comment or I just hold back.

It seems when i do comment though, i go all out and comment on a lot of items.

heres the deal , jayster is not being hostile he is just stating fact. the downside of the first retail worker fourum was so much hostility and bad talk . and retail worker requested people to cool it and they did not and he or she had enough. after all it was his or her site. thats the way i saw it. if i am wrong i am sure you guys will tell me so. i think jay wants a site where he can voice his opinion and there will be statements that are in line with his way of thinking. so what is wrong with that. i see it from both views and i am just clarifying , so dont shoot the messenger. Wait a minute! - there are innumerable reasons for low membership or decreased response - the last 2-3 weeks on the discontinued retailworker.com showed an upswell of interest and in membership - then poof - it disappeared - as a member of the late retailworker.com and a current member of retail-worker.com, this was like a sucker punch to us all and for many, if not most, we are still trying to catch our breath - we lost our footing on the cliff but there was a branch to grab hold - the only thing I see missing is the degraded vocabulary and the nonsensical joke of the minute - we are becoming more focused on our plights as employees of Sears - we are questioning and speaking more focused on executive management, their growing wealth, our shrinking living wage and hours, policies, programs, processes, and other issues - the only thing we are missing is the support - we have not been walking the talk - if we are serious, then our membership would be growing at greater strides than the previous retailworker.com - we all felt support just by viewing the membership grow - my membership makes me feel stronger - as I wrote on a different thread - the dust is settling - we need only to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and move forward - and bring a friend with us

MrsDD with all respect......numbers alone do not make this or any site more powerfull.....I believe as do others that the numbers on the old RW were way inflated by mulitple IDs. Of the almost 3000 members how many ever posted....I got several people to sign up, but most really did not care to post. Just as an accident causes people to gawk, the termoil of the old site caused an upswing in readers.......dissent causes hits on the site......contentment does not......I feel this is a far better site than the old one (I admitt I am a guilty as the next for rowdy behavior on the old RW).......if this site deserves more members, they will come......if not....it will die out. IMO Neutral
