For those of you who aren't familiar with the merchandise at DG here is a list of stuff that you are NOT to buy.
1. clothesline ---> The base strings on my bass guitar are thicker that the DG clothesline 2. clocks ---> I mistakenly put the battery in backwards and the dumb clock ran backwards. ( I have 2 witnesses) 3. black plastic lint brushes ---> these are the WORST piece of junk EVER. (not the lint rollers). You supposed to press the trigger and the brush head is supposd to rotate, well the brush head rotates only part of the way and when you try to complete the turn by hand the brush head easily breaks off in your hand. Can anyone else think of anything ?? |

Hi all just came in this group and boy can I relate to most of you..I am the "lead store clerk" in my store which is a joke promotion and resposibility with no raise..The only reason I stay at DG is for my benefits till something better comes along...Has anyone else experienced this..??? Oh and myself and the assistant manager ran our store for 5 months till we threatened to quit and they finally got a new manager...The area manager informed me that "the company usually doesn't compensate employees for doing a managers job at minimum wage" ..I must tell you the assistant and I kept our store which is a pretty high volume store not only running but sales were up every week...The bonus in our store is a large one and I got sick of working to get someone else a nice bonus while I make a pittance...Any way I digress I wanted to add to your list of things NOT to buy at DG...my vote goes for those worthless digital thermometers what a waste...I also have a question for anyone who might know...When a store is up for a large bonus and the manager in the store only gets say a third and I know the assistant get a small one also but who gets the remainder of the managers bonus I highly suspect it is the DM but maybe someone else knows..??? 1.) Cat Cafe cat food. I thought I would be cheap and try it. It does not contain enough real protien and too much meal/by-products. Caused an awefull mess with a sick house cat.
2.) canned chunk pineapple. I have had numerous returns on this item. well DO NOT BUY any cordless phones.......we got 3 cases in.....and just about all came back......even the 2 i bought.
our 50 dollar dvd players.....winn dixie sold them for 39.99 for the holidays...... |

THANX I'VE CHECKED OUT MOST OF THOSE I KINDA LIKE THIS ONE CAUSE AS WE ALL KNOW TIME IS SHORT SO HERE I CAN CHECK IN AND SAY HEY AND CHAT WHEN I GET A CHANCE I GENERALLY DO LIKE WORKING AT DOLLAR GENERAL BUT IT SURE IS NICE TO TALK TO ANYONE!! Hey thanks for the welcome dgsucks and dumass...  Sorry it's been awhile since I posted but we had some "employee problems" in other words people got sick of making crap money and quit...thank god for those benefits...haha...well I actually heard the dm tell my manager the other day that honest to God he doesn't get a bonus...what a laugh like we believe that...He's trying to justify our cut in payroll as only being in her best interest cuz bonuses are about due...He's only holding back on that payroll for his own $$$$$$ She is buying his story and working the old 60 hours a week to get a bonus...  Anyone hear anything about the SEC lawsuit ??.. I hope these cheap people (by that I mean DG) have to pay!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| I didn't hear about any lawsuits but I'm sure there are many. We were informed on Wednesday that not one store in our area will be getting a bonus this year what a load of shit we bust our asses and for what to get bsed about the company having to make cutbacks maybe if they would quit opening new stores and focus on making the existing stores better they wouldn't have so many employees quitting. | |

Reversing the current in a DC circuit SHOULD make the motor run backwards. It's the heads on the battery connector that are shabby since they permitted contact in the first place
