I'm sure there are alot of managers out there with payroll problems, so let's hear from you Cool
I wonder if every manager in every DG store would email a complaint about payroll if that would change anything. Confused

There are nothing but problems when it comes to DG...payroll is just high on the list...but the people running the business is the numbr one problem Rolling Eyes

the ones running the business, don't seem to care, even when you report a problem, you can't get a straight answer or a phone number of the next one up the chain. It is like running into a brick wall. Sad Confused

I almost wonder if they ever get on here and laugh at us...there is no way corp. will ever say "oh they don't like us, lets change that" theyre making way too much damn money...but if they would think about it they could make so much more...if they helped us we could help them.

That's it in a nutshell!! The vast majority of employees really want to do a good job, and be part of a team whose objective is to succeed as a unit. Corporate has an almost "us vs. them" mentality towards its employees, which trickles on down to the field level of RMs & DMs. Rather than fostering a team atmosphere, an attitude of disdain and contempt comes across instead. Not to say that all RMs & DMs are disdainful and contemptuous of store level employees, but they have their jobs to do and that means implementing the policies and programs (however unworkable they may actually be) in the fashion that they have been instructed to do so.

If the folks at Home Office would view their store staffs as being on the SAME team -- not the opposing team -- and at least listen to their input, suggestions, and experiences with the programs once they're in operation at store level, the whole operation would run much more smoothly and efficiently.
And the likelihood increases of a greater, consistent return.

Right now they're posting growth and profit gains, but how long can they sustain that kind of showing when there is such chaos and confusion in so many of the stores?

So much improvement could be accomplished if they would just work WITH their employees, not against them.

AND I HAVE A QUESTION TOO .!. ARE THERE ANY OTHER EMPLOYEES OUT THERE THAT HAVE NOT BEEN PAID FOR 2 MONTHS OR LONGER ?!?!?!? Doh!
