From what I have been told our store had a very bad gallup survey and the managers are PISSED. It was put like this{ if they think it was so bad working here this year, watch out next year} the other asm{ yep maybe we can have a whole new crew this time next year} 1st asm { we will keep them so loaded with extra work list that they will be begging to redo the survey, fuck them all.}
I really dont want to go find a new job and start over. I am sick as hell of the bull shit. I bust my butt every day and I ask myself for what?? The sad thing is I cant find an answer to my own question. Confused Confused Confused Confused

I haven't heard a word lately about the results at our store, but have seen that the managers are somewhat "frumpy" to say the least. I am sure the results will come out soon to the rest of us.
I finally got fed up with all the B.S. last week, and decided to go part time to alleviate the management induced stress, but to no avail. My ZM notified me the day before yesterday that the store manager would not allow me to go part time, that I would be REQUIRED to work nights and weekends. I told him that the whole reason behind going to PT was to not work those shifts, as I wouldn't be available.
I am a good employee, very knowledgable about my department, as well as most others involving building, construction, and tools. I have had great reviews, have a great customer following, and have gotten great marks on mystery shoppers...but all that means nothing to them, they can replace me with some kid at a few bucks an hour less.
I resigned, my last day is Wednesday. I started my own home handyman business, and have been inundated with calls. I take more home in a week than I grossed in a month with my store....no weekends, no nights, and no BS corporate oversite(except my wife! Wink ) I am really going to miss some of the folks I worked with, but they all see that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Three came to me yesterday and want to work for me now, which at some point I may have to consider, but I really don't want to get that busy that I have to hire, not to say that I won't use them once in awhile to lend a hand, and at $25.00 an hour, they are more than willing.
Best of luck all! I'll keep coming back to throw in my two cents every now and then.
Rock on!
