I just checked the schedule for the w/e 11/21 and there's a PDF file to look at.

Key Days November & December 2009

Get to know these Key Days in advance. If you're not assigned a shift on a
Key Day, be sure to self-select an open shift. We expect you to be there for
our business and customers during this critical and exciting time of year.

are you f*ing kidding me??? Hell will freeze over before I pick up an open shift on my day off. Besides, they've got me scheduled on Wednesday, Nov 18 at 7:45 am. sorry school is still in session. Store opens at 7am. can I walk out now???

p.s. i just looked at it...when you log onto insite it is a NEW category under...myschedule, time off, etc., in the middle of the screen.

i agree with you, belldoll, THIS kid is not adding any more hours than absolutely necessary. i'm not scheduled the 17 or 18 th of this month and i am NOT adding it on !!!!

the month of december is a joke !!! key days ??? there are ONLY 8 days that are NOT key days. HA !!!!!!!

oh, i love the new "disclaimer" paragraphs that pop onto the screen about keeping the info private.

whatever. Rolling Eyes

This morning when I looked at my schedule, my Wednesday was gone for the 18th. My manager is on vaca, but I think she still can access the schedule from home.

I am a part-time night person and that week I SHOULD work Monday, Thursday and Saturday night. I am scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday night. Now remind you - WEDNESDAY is my N/A day. How dare they tell me 13 days ahead of Nov. 18 that I have to work 6:00 - 11:00 PM. I have had plans for 3 months on that night so I CAN'T WORK. Yesterday, through the cash register I checked the 3 dept numbers under my department and we are all working so WHO DO I ASK IF THEY WANT EXTRA HOURS? I also checked a couple of dept outside of my area and everyone is working. I think my store has every employee working on Nov. 18. It looks like I may have to call out! Also, I work full-time so how can I work back to back nights? I want to see the person that makes up the module schedule work some of these shifts that they give us.

i was wondering about that sale next week.

this is just a guess:
seems like macy*s is trying to do some sort of a PRE- thanksgiving black friday sort of thing.

they are opening tuesday at 8 AM !! and wednesday at 7AM !!!

are they crazy ?? wait, don't answer that. of course they are.

what fucking idiot thinks we will have any traffic at those hours ??? are they kidding me ????

I bet there will be, b/c the sales are really good. In my experience with Macy's, the sales are better the week before Thanksgiving than after.

I'm sure it will be heavily advertised (radio,TV,newspapers). I'm glad I'm not working on Wednesday.

They have gone nuts with the early openings and late closings this whole year! And this is probably the worst I have ever seen it as far as NO customers in the store for these early openings and late closings!

How many customers did everyone have between the hours of 7 & 8 last Sunday? We got the whole department cleaned up because THERE WAS NO ONE IN THE STORE.

Same here. Our mall opens an hour later and closes an hour earlier on Sundays than Macy's does.

My last guest left my area at 4:50. For nearly three hours I cleaned the entire freakin' salesfloor.

My scorecard SALES PER HOUR will look AWESOME for this week, I tell ya.
