The was an interesting question posted on the website,
"answers.com" The question was "Is The Macy's in downtown Brooklyn, the worst Macy's in New York ?" I guess compared to the flagship Macy's on Herald Square, downtown Brooklyn looks a little worse for wear, BUT I personally like that store for deals you can get, and it still has some of the trapppings of it's elegant past, like the art deco styled elevator bank. To me the worst Macy's in New York is the aging store at the South Shore Mall in Bay Shore. Last year at Xmas time they had to put tarp over the cieling tiles where rain water was leaking in. The merchandise selection also leaves a lot to be desired, and the staff appears as depressed as the surrondings. Macy's must still be really into the whole A Store, B Store, C Store thing, to let this relic remain in such poor condition, while the stores in Hampton Bays, Smith Haven, and Manhassett are usually kept updated and maintained. So in your region is there a well known, "Worst Macy's" ? Ken |

Hmmmm....I really dont know myself..Because I dont shop at too MANY MACYS STORES roflmao!!  One is enough for me right now lol..but then they do repairs at the store I work at..  TEAM WINS

the poor brooklyn store.....it needs a make over.
herald square is herald square...growing up in manhattan, that was the macy's i am use to going to. what about the one at the green acre's mall??? the men's store in the other side of the mall is okay. many other are nice and jersey city is a prototype... the worst...i have never been there, but parkchester. i hear it is horrible. |
