happy_camper Joined: 18 Mar 2005 Posts: 256 Location: 3rd coast	Posted: Fri May 22, 2009 9:17 pm    Post subject: Remember what this Monday is for . . .   I've always had a hard time telling customers "Have a Happy Memorial Day weekend," because for so many families, the day may carry a mixture of sadness, pride, loss of loved ones, and so forth. My only wish is that on this day across America we close shop, for the weekend+Monday was not created to sell barbecue pits, stuff for your home or lawn, big screen TVs or movie tickets to the latest blockbluster out of Hollywood. That said, I do wish everyone on this forum, no matter where you are from, no matter your politics, that the day has some meaning for you beyond your retail job. /hopping off soapbox now
