Has anyone else heard that District Managers and above did not receive any increase in pay? I was told that happened because Lowe's decided that in these trying economic times it was better to suspend salary at the top so that we could continue to have staffing in the stores.
Would you have given up your raise this year to be able to have a few more hands on deck in the stores?

Seems fair to me. Didn't all those execs getting ther raises, bunuses and trips cause a lot of problems in the financial arenas??

I don't believe the "no salary increase" applied to DM's and RVP's. Only the top echelon of management above the RVP level. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's the way it came down.

My dm sat in our manager's meeting and announced to us that all of the DM's and above did not receive increases this year. I'm not going to call him a liar. I just thought it showed the slightest bit of integrity. I know that they didn't do it by choice. The decision was made a bit higher up. That's what we get for having a bean counter as a CEO.
