I'm sure this is just the tip of the iceberg:
MINNEAPOLIS - Wal-Mart Stores Inc. said Tuesday it will pay up to $54.25 million to settle a class-action lawsuit that alleged the discount giant cut workers' break time and didn't prevent employees from working off the clock in Minnesota.

Your darn right this is the tip of the iceberg .
For Walmart or anyone to be sued for these violations so many times in different locations tells me that someone in upper management or an exec not only condones this/looks the other way but they probably have participated in and/or suggested these practices themselves .
I don't know what is worse-these companies trying to make you work for free or the fact that they think they can get away with it or that no one will say anything because ' it's only retail ' .In other words why do they think they can treat you like crap .
