From earlier this year .Most Home Depot employees probably already know but here is a story about HD sending managers to Vegas for meetings .

Now HD didn't take any TARP or bailout money and still has money in the bank so to speak . And this was planned well ahead .

But holding meetings in resort town with in a year of closing stores ,laying people off including managers at corporate and reducing hours for PTs who carried the company for HD during the Nardelli years isn't the most tactfull thing to say the least .

Even for HD or Lowes it is not business as usual . HD of all companies should realize the impact of current economic conditions since they have a housing and big ticket related business .
