Home Depot's net revenues are down around 20% since the peak of the boom.HD over built.
The ghost of Bob Nardelli lives. He created a very numbers driven & compliant management system. No matter how employee friendly Frank Blake is the trouble is the systems and people Nardelli put into place are still there.
And HD must repair the damage Nardelli did to the customer base and customer service with part-timers,tight budgets and poor morale.
Be happy though and that is Frank Blake re-emphasized the full-time workforce so a lot of people never would have been hired or made full-time under Nardelli.
Hate to say it,but a large chunk of HDs sales for the last decade were from the boom AND over building.Throw in easy credit and do it yourself flip shows that areNOT here now HD will be lucky to show increases in any category let alone quadroople them.
GOOD LUCK
