Hello, everyone. I, myself, have finally gotten a job interview and the days of retail slavery is almost over for me.
Circuit City is such a joke and a waste. I've always been a good employee...I put merchandise on display, gotten pretty good numbers (even though it supposedly doesn't matter, but the managers keep harrassing everyone) and I'm doing the exact same thing that I did when I first started.
I shouldn't be surprised,though. This is, of course, retail. Management wants so desperately, however, to create a commission-like environment with laughable ten dollar Gift Cards as rewards for a good day.
But they don't stop there...oh,no! They butcher your hours and give the majority to the seniors. Oh, by the way, the senior here also does the Tech schedule so he gives himself 38 hours while the others get what's left.
WARNING: Do NOT work at Circuit City. It is NOT "just what you needed" as far as equal opportunities go.
