This info is to be adress to the people working in shoes and jewerly. For people on shoes and jewerly they will soon be making new changes. For Shoe departments that do over 500k in merchandise and commision combined will recieve the following as new pay.

5.50 an hour plus 3.5 percent commison

For people in the jewerly department who stores have jewerly sales over 500k in totales sales and commision will be changing to the following rate.

6.50 an hour as base pay plus 3.75 percent commison on items sold.

For people who are quoted as making "too much money above the median goal which is 120 percent of median targeted earnings" will be given one of two option

1. If they choose to leave they will be given a TPP which stands for Transistion pay package. for associates who have worked less then one year they will get a 2 week lump sum as a severance package assuming that they sign all the proper waivers and release forms. For associates working for more then 1 year continous will recieve a one weeks pay for each year that they worked with a minimum of being given 4 weeks.

2. If they choose not to accept the package and they do not want to move to a more comparable job within the store they can choose to stay there at the new commision structure.

Associates will be given 45 days to decide on whether or not they choose to accept either package. Managers are also instructed to follow and answer only questions on the script that are given to them. If they ask any questions that do not fall around the script lines they are given they are being told to refer those questions to the SGN or DSGM. Also if they hear of union talk they are instructed to immidiatly call a 1800 number "Sears national labor line" to inform of any union uprisings or speculations of one. Finally this information will be mailed out on this upcomming wedensday and will be sent to all stores for the SGM and for the operations manager to recieve a copy of each. Well that is all my source had to say. Changes should begin to be in affect starting up at the current meeting scheduled towards the end of july (differnt dates depending on some stores). Tell me your thoughts.

Do you know when this is supposed to start? I was asked today if I wanted to transfer to BC. How high does your benefit rate have to be before they ask you to transfer or move on? Do you know?

BG,
I heard about jewerly, shoes, and HE in my store also, but I must say I hadn't heard the details on the pay structure.
Was that on HR hot news? I'm just interested because perhaps this 'person' will be able to give us details on the rumors we hear. We may be able to channel some questions through SM to him. What do you think?

Well if it is true that all this info is on the hr hot news, then by all means everyone please read up on it. I want everyone to decide for themselves what he or she thinks of what is going on. I want to make clear that all i am trying to do is help people by giving them info from my source. I want people to work together and learn from each other about what is going on. I want everyone to be on the same page. We are all on the same team folks lets try and work together to make sears a hopefully better place in the future for not only us but the ones who are yet to come after we leave. Good Job by the way bodyguard of finding that info on your lunch hour. Please if you ever find anything out from there or anything always feel free to post it on here. I welcome your opinions and thoughts and anything you can bring to the table me and everyone included would be much appreciated. Keep up the good work Bodyguard and everyone. See ya on sears time Smile

I posted this two days ago, did you here the part that they are to take in hostile employees first. There is a five page document they even go as far as tell the managers to show emotion and bring a box of kleenix. I can not believe this company. They are to call ap immediately if any employee shows hostiltiy. This is effective Aug third and yes it is true electronics and 20 are next

Thanks searsmatrix for posting this information. I understand that some of the folks are saying we can find this on our own, but for someone like myself who is parttime and doesn't have access to the computers very often. this is the only way to find out so a great big thank you. Now I will try to catch a couple of minutes on one of them and read for myself, but incase I can't, please keep posting. Smile

thanks fjsales it means alot to me to get positive reinforcement back when i face much negativity at my store on a day to day basis (alot of it justified keep in mind). I understand that there are some who have alot of time to research on the intranet while working and good for them, but for many of us who dont have the time i am trying to post what i can to help everyone out. For everyone who makes time to go on the intranet and find all the stuff out please please post it help me out we need to work as a team. Even if you think it might be common knowledge odds are that there are some that dont and if all your efforts to post comments and info only helped one person then you have done your job and a good one at that. keep it up everyone and again thanks for the comments its good to here a compliment every once in a while. Okay now that i said that someone make a negative comment to me, come on dont be bashfull there has to be someone wanting to discredit me. Have a great day everyone Smile

Yes, I second the request to post any information you find on the Sears intranet site. None of the folks in my department ever have access to them and this is our only way of finding out this information. thanks to all who post.
