Talk about confusing! Customers are going to think they are getting BF pricing on EVERYTHING when it is really just the few things on the front page.Then......there is the 7-12 or 9-12 door buster pricing. This Friday's ad has door busters from 9-12 BUT......at the top of the front page it says "early door buster pricing starting at 5:00 Friday". We have to set the Fri/Sat ad Fri. morning then depend on others to set the door busters at 5.Only to take it all down Sun. and start all over again. At least they changed the set ups from Saturdays to Friday nights for the rest of the month. The SM was wanting us to come in at 5 a.m. on Saturdays to get the ad set by 9.Revised calendar came out yesterday in case some of you didn't know.I have to wonder though...with all these BF pricing NOW ads......are we going to have the advertised mdse. for the ACTUAL BF ad?

They've sorta did this over the last several years but now it's getting ridiculous. And for those who do wait in line BF at 400 AM and come into to find 'sold out' because the merchandise has been sold all month long... .Price Adjusts just around the corner with alot of dead trees.

Yeaaah, I don't know how this is going to work, BUT I know that my local news station did a top story (for some reason) about "early" Black Friday ads and yep--my store was featured (first mentioned AND the only one they went to for interviews/videotape). They got the good side of the store too, where all the people park. Whooo. Rock on! Hopefully it'll drum up some business.

Is anyone else putting up the black balloons on doorbusters for all these BF Now ads? Like I have time????? Have to go in today, make sure they put up the door buster signing at 5 last night and put 2 balloons on everything that is BF Now pricing. Then tomorrow just about everything comes down.Start all over again then every Friday night this month we have this BF Now crap.Needless to say....the balloons are staying up all day.I will have all I can do to get all the signs down at noon.

Yes, we had to do the same thing. We ran out of balloons and no one had time to blow up more. I didn't even have enough for kids...

You know, it's funny. You can't put doorbusters on layaway--well, that eliminated about a third of the kids department. Rolling Eyes Doh!

I think clothing "doorbusters" should be excluded because not too many people run in to get clothing doorbusters.

I had to blow up some of those balloons also. I didn't get them all done. Once again we don't have the hours for us to come in Sat to take all this stuff down. On Fri. we left at 1 and the HL lead left at 4:30 he put the stuff up early because there wouldn't be anybody to do it however tomorrow will be interesting because we aren't working.

Is this balloon thing going to happen every week?

After 12 noon we handed out all the balloons to the young kids , they loved it, parents probably didn't though.

Black balloons, eh? I thought you only used those at those 40+ parties.

Grim reapers would be more effective. Says it all about Sears card rates, overpriced PAs, and the future of the company itself. Maybe those baloons do really fit in. Very Happy
