All landed in my store today. They are going WAY over board this year.Just curious who is responsible for getting all this put up in YOUR store? In my store it is ME,but it is due to go up Nov. 1 which is a Sunday and I have an ad set. Wonder how they expect me to pull THIS one off?

"Hey Rocky watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat. Nothing up my sleeve. POOF"
Our HL lead has to go put those signs up for the SL because she can't do it (haven't figured out why yet.)

the signing arrived his past week at my store. I guess the pricing team will put it up, like we have every other year. No big deal, it will get up when we have time. I'm not worried about it.

Whats the theme this year? Often Sears stuff looks so cheap and tacky compared to Penneys and other stores.
Of course this is the same advertising people/team/group - paid the big bucks who came up with the softlines tagline of "Steal the Look" in softlines.

Me too goodole!
We should meet up one day and compare battle scars.
I haven't seen much of the new signage for this year. I think this is going to be my first year where I won't put up Christmas signing. It's...kind of depressing to think about, actually.

I think the theme is something like more Christmas/more value or something like that.I just briefly looked at the signage. All decorations from years past go away except for the clear acrylic boxes and buckets and the red balls and white "snowballs".We got a lot of car5dboard boxes with pictures on them and there is a lot more ceiling signage this year.We also got a ton of signing that says "Black Friday Pricing today" for the ad next Friday. I guess that is going to be the catch phrase from here on out? Surely they wouldn't send that much signage in for ONE ad? I guess we are going to go from lowest price of the season to black Friday pricing? Sounds kind of desperate to me,and I can assure you the prices now are NOT going to be as good as Black Friday.I can imagine all the customers that are going to come in thinking ALL the sale mdse. is going to be Black Friday pricing when in reality it is just certain items in the ad.I think we are just going to get a few "looky lous" and then they will be elsewhere come Black Friday.
