In an article in BusinessWeek Magazine for October 2009 http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/09_40/c4149btw425927.htm (last article) October 2009 ' When people reckon it's O.K. to cheat ' by Ellen Gibson it notes that the more a person is detached from something the more likely they are to cheat.

Found things like a manager was more likely to pad an expense report when an assistant filled it out. Also found in a math problem with rewards experiment that if a person didn't get the immediate reward of cash and had to turn in a token to be reimbursed they were more likely to cheat.

This fits right in with retail management thinking along with sick sigma. I keep on thinking of corporate visits to stores when I read this article.

Also found those who wore fake or counterfit goods were more likely to cheat -to me that me that means the person more interested in 'the show' or their image is more likely to cheat. After all it's only a show or an act to begin with...

Remember the study done that showed a high percentage of college students cheating on a regular basis because they knew they would have to lie and cheat in the real world so it was just good practice to do it in school?

Now you know where those people are winding up.

Darn near once year they come out with a cheating report where MBAs wind up cheating the most.

What really tripped me was that those wearing counterfit fashions/accessories were just as likely to cheat. But I know and have business managers as a matter of fact where IMAGE IS everything. I know fools where they must always be perceived as being ' right ' and/or on top of the things(your ass more than likely) and in retail especially Sears they stress ' presentation ' or THE SHOW.

And I used to think Hollywood had all the narcisists.

These are the people who are taking over the counhtry today. Does anyone wonder why they'll take your premiums for twenty years and the minute you get seriously ill... say get cancer... cancel your policy because you forgot to mention on your application that you had mumps at age three?

These people are bastards through and through.

Funny thing that the article mentions cheating being more likely when the more detached you are from something and that's what insurance based health care seems to be and perpetuates wether it be the doctors or insurance companies.

So that's why a ' detached ' insurance rep can deny a claim they have no business questioning or a hospital clerk can recode a simple procedure to look like surgery when billing those insurance companies. In the meantime the actual patient becomes nothing but a detached third party.

Everything in this country today, including the rights you would normally expect to have for simply being a human being, has been turned into a "for profit" proposition designed to funnel wealth upward.

When the top 1% of the population controls more wealth than the bottom 95% combined, we don't have Capitalism... and those who continue to try to frame the situation as a struggle between Capitalism and Socialism are full of shit.

We do not HAVE Capitalism in this country and the only Socialism we're seeing so far has been for the very rich while everyone else gets diddly. Idiots who scream "Socialism" every time someone wants to try to do something that benefits everybody and not just the nobility are... like I said... totally and incurably full of shit.

This is a struggle between those trying to hang on to a decent lifestyle in return for working their asses off for a lifetime and those who are hell bent on simply taking everything they can lay their hands on simply because they were either born with the power to do so or lied and cheated their way into a position where they could.

It's going to take the total destruction of the middle class in this country before the fricking "morans" ever get it. In the meantime, they'll be toting their little signs and their Glocks and AR-15s from event to event and screaming about"Socialism" and "Nazism" and all the other "isms" that help to constitute the bogey man the lords and ladies are constructing for the ignorant and ill-educated serfs and they'll call it Socialism because the dumbasses are too fricking ignorant to even know what Socialism is.
