It was recently announced in the press that Estee Lauder will be dissolving their Prescriptives division. I was unaware the EL owned Prescriptives. I knew they owned Clinique and Origins.
Supposedly they will be gone from Macy's by Jan 31.

EL owns everything! Their motto: "If you can't beat 'em, buy em!"
They also own Origins, Mac, Aveda, and some others that I can't think of right now. One of the department store brands is theirs too, I think it's Cover Girl, but I'm not sure about that. Lancome owns Loreal.

prescriptives will give beauty advisors/counter managers a $500 bonus incentive to stay through jan '10 and will get guaranteed placement into another Estee Lauder company ... if not Macys, then within the estee lauder company. Vendor incentive is $700 cash...

I meant to say that they own one of the drugstore brands. I think it's Cover Girl, but I could be wrong about that.
