What time does your store close? We close at 10:00pm and are seriously cutting hours. Most of us are encouraged to leave by about 10:20 or so. Then again our work is done and products are zoned by then.

I'd be thankful that I had a job that allowed me to stay for my entire scheduled shift. I'm scheduled until 11pm when I close. If I close all week I have to cut my lunches shorter so that I can come close to 37 hours not the 39 I'm scheduled. Be glad you're in a store that is busy enough to need people to stay late.

Is there ANY store these days that's busy enough to warrant staying open until 10pm on weekdays?

We close at 10, but are usually always gone by 9:30.

What time are you scheduled?

If you're being asked to work beyond your scheduled time then you really don't have to.

If you're schedulde to work those late hours then you're store seems to be very busy and you're needed to work that late. If that is the case you may be better off than some.

In our store we close at 10PM and are usually out by 11PM if not earlier. On Sunday we close at 9PM and out by 10PM if not earlier.

However most all Part-Time people have been cut to around 10 hours a week due to sales being way down. Our store operating hours are Mon-Sat 6AM-10PM, Sun 8AM-9PM. There is really NO REASON for us to be open that early and close that late.

A few years ago our hours were Mon-Sat 7AM-9PM, Sun 9AM-6PM. If we would go back to those hours that would save a lot of money in payroll and perhaps those Part-Time hours wouldn't be cut so much.

I'm Full-Time and have been with Lowe's just over 7 years now and this is as bad as I have ever seen it. I'll sure be glad when things turn around for the better!

Hello;

I'm a PSA, so my hours haven't changed with the Impact program...when they were considering here (Region 22) to have the hours go from 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM to 10 AM - 8 PM, the buzz was that openers would be scheduled to start at 4 AM and closers until Midnight, with no increase in man hours available for mid coverage. Mad plus the freight flow team isn't as "crackerjack" an outfit as they could be...

That was shelved very quickly in favor of adjusting Impact hours to 11 AM - 1 PM, plus 5 PM - 7 PM with no adjustment to start and close-out times.

Coverage is still very thin, sometimes don't see all departments with coverage until 8 or 9 in the morning.

Ah well, do what I can to help.

I been in retail a long, long time, it IS bad now.

Be well - Wendall
