I was approved to go back to college while working full time at Lowe's. This summer I studied full time (on my off days) and I also worked full time.
While on my vacation, Lowe's changed my schedule and took those days away from me after HR and the store manager stated I could go back to college.
Also, the store manager stated she did not want Specialist to open the store at 6:00 am in the morning because you can not sell that early in the morning.
How about I am opening 6:00 am this entire week.
I am fed up with this company, they say one thing and do something else.

What does the Lowe's availability policy state? Does it say that specialists who are of course full-time must have open availability? I know many people who are unable to attend any type of higher education unless they are willing to go part-time and drop their positions and hours.

When I wore a red vest instead of brown, I was always under the impression that a requirement of having full-time status is open availability, which is still (realistically) the case even though I am a PSA.
We have had folks told outright; you want to go to school, drop to part-time with limited availability.
BTW, I was under the impression that it is corporate policy and procedure that Specialists are scheduled no earlier than 8 AM and no later than 9 PM. It works that way (about 90% of the time) in my store.
be well - Wendall
