Starbucks( SBUX) has been trying to renegotiate many of their leases for as much as 25% reduction. Many landlords were/are complaining that Starbucks has done things like stop paying rent, closing stores and/or leaving rents without notice. Some say a negotiation tactic.

Sorta reminds me of many of those who SIGNED an ARM/LIAR LOAN. Remember this is a multi-national corporation CRYING poor mouth after their arrogance led them to believe people would come in to pick up a 4$ coffee any where they had a store front .
So does this mean because of the economy and personal finances and I can negotiate the price of that over priced coffee down by 25% . Can I get that 4$ coffee for 3$ ? -not that I would even pay that much. I don't think Starbucks even has a SSS decline of 25% .

Sounds like they're taking lessons from Fast Eddie's School of Weaseling.
