Did anyone else notice during this 2D ODS that customers had an extraordinary amount of coupons??? And of course they didn't work on anything!!! Why do we need customers to also use coupons during the 2D ODS when prices are so low!!
Anyone else remember when Macy's insisted we would no longer have a zillion coupons like Mayco??? |

There are so many out at one time that you have to sit there with the customer and figure out which one is best. Ugh! They did say that Macy's didn't do coupons. But Mayco customers LOVE coupons!
They also told us that Macy's operated on mall hours... |

I worked the opening shift today and I'm currently enjoying my 4Th margarita. Around 2pm I was thinking about how much tequila I had in the house.
Today was absolutely HORRIBLE. I hate those coupons = $10 off of $25 purchase, but excludes......... "That's false advertising." "Can I talk to a manager?" "Why can't I use the coupons?" "It says 'clearance items'." FUCK, I got so damn tired of hearing the same old shit. And I got so damn tired of explaining "why" to those airheads. It was like Christmas minus the music! We were so busy today, I clocked out late for my lunch. (California=penalty for clocking out after 5 hours for lunch) I'm glad I don't work on Sunday. I had a customer who printed multiple copies of the coupons from her computer. |

| Who ever comes up with those coupons and all the exclusions should be MADE to work on the 2D ODS! They should be the ones who have to answer all the customers questions about why they can't use the coupons on 95% of the merch in the store! The freakin coupons would be fine if they didn't send out 100 million of them at the same time! | |

I get a warning, and supposedly Macy's gets fined $1,000 by the state. I think two warnings and a person can get fired. I'm sure I wasn't the only person that violated the rule yesterday. I heard that associates were calling for help because they had to go to lunch. Not sure if they got help. This all goes back to the lawsuit that was settled last year. |

| A pox on those coupons! They are so annoying! Customers are so discourteous when using them especially when they hand over a stack to the cashier and try to haggle the price while at the register. Meanwhile, idiots like me have to wait in a long line while the dummy in the front is arguing over the price of a shirt ALREADY on sale plus the pile of coupons! Coupons are the Devil! | |

I've always been astonished that our customers are so stupid, they can't do simple math. SIMPLE MATH!! One day a young girl (prob. 5th grade) asked me "how much?" I think the item was 50% off. I asked her politely to do the math. What the hell are they teaching the kids? |

What gets me is that THEY can't do the math, but walk up to you and say, "How much will this be with the sale price plus extra 40% off, plus this coupon that I have...."
And don't even get me started on people asking WHICH price is the original price! |
