Home Depot is apparently not honoring their commitment to pay a $100K reward they offered to help capture a suspect who injured an employee who eventually died. HD actually upped the reward several times . A suspect was captured from a tip. The tipster said HD would only give him 6K. The tipster who put his safety at risk is now suing for the $100K.

In order to protect it's employees HD and others should be fully endorsing things that lead to the arrest & prosecution of those who perpatrate crimes on their employees and property. It is their own best interest to let it be known they won't fool around if YOU commit a crime against them.

That is pretty typical of Home Depot about the "up to" amount of the reward. If you look at their rebates and prepaid gift card offers, they say the same thing. Its very misleading for customers when the sign is shouting $500 and in small print it says "up to". I can't tell you how many customers have gotten mad about it. This is really a sad story that a man lost his life trying to keep Home Depot from losing money on pallets. Wonder why they don't use the Homer Fund to help his widow?
