Was any one else "lucky" enough to man the Macy's Money table today??

Towards evening it was like watching paint dry.

Macy's Central (or whatever division we are know.I've lost track) is running a promotion thru Sunday. For every $50 you spend you get $10 in Macy's Money (except it's not the Macy's money like we get for loyalties, this stuff has a bunch of restrictions). You can save up receipts all week and combine them, and use any "leftover" balance that didn't add up to $50.

So I sat at a table, totaled up customers' receipts, stamped them, and gave them the appropriate amount of funny money. It's actually kind of a nice promotion....just slow for the associate at the table.

I had one customer that got over $200 in Macy's Money Surprised

wow. that's weird. i read the initial post about manning the macy money table last nite...
then at the morning rally we we "threatened" by one of the gsm's that a credit table will be set up and if you don't get your alloted credits for the week (3 for F/T 2 for P/T) they will put you there till you open one up. could be there an hour or so.
i raised my hand to ask if we would get nonproductive hours for that, but she didn't see my hand. and i KNOW the answer would be NO anyway.

puh-leese . give me a break. sure i opened 2 today but that's cuz i love to shop and refuse to buy most anything unless i can use my macy money and discount to bring my true discout to 50% PLUS 20% off !!!!! ya can't beat that !!

and i want to get the gsm's OFF MY FRIGGING BACK. but i damn well that we CANNOT BE FIRED FOR NOT OPENING THEM UNLESS WE ARE NEW AND ARE ON 6 MONTHS PROBATION !!!!!!!

Try 8 hours!

This seems to be the only decent sale Mac's has had for a while. I had a lady buy some fine jewelry ($6,600)...so she got $1,320 in Macy's money (or 132 MM cards....I hope LP doesn't pick her up carrying around that huge wad of MM).

Even if you just spend $50 though, you get 10 bucks to blow....

I don't think that was MM. It was just a regular coupon that could be combine. We do that in my store sometimes. But instead of them spending $50, they have to spend $100, and they get a $20 coupon for every $100 they spend. They are always exclusion. The $20 off coupon will be use for every $50.
Say they spend $300, they get 3 $20 off coupon. Then a few days later the spend $150 they will use the coupons to get $60 off which the costomer only spend only $90.

Every region is different and they always do things different. We did not do this promotion lately, but that is how we always did it.

Let's hope she doesn't return the FJ items cause I guarantee you the Macy's Money won't be coming back!

this usually happens during pre-sale. I don't think we have a pre-sale season till spring.

As Terry's rep, I am afraid to inform you the promotion request has been denied due to this so called associates failure to comply with the new HR Policy enacted last week. If she could breathe she could have been wheeled into work in a hospital bed and opened credits through a sympathy opening.

Furthermore Macy-Mart is a chain of stores we are launching next fall in Russia and China. The use of the Macy-Mart name is currently not allowed in the United States. Thank you for your submission. Please send future requests to Terry Lundgren C/O Macy's Inc. World Wide Imbezzeling Fund. Macy's Building (formerly the Empire State Building) New York CIty New York.

These stores will remain open and will be selling Lundgren's Famous Turkey Dinners. Free to all black card customers! A $899 Value!

Well, since I have been mandating all these new and insane changes to Macy's, and they have made Macy's a lot of money, Terry has invited me to his house to eat dinner on Thanksgiving. I plan on discussing wage garnagements for associates who don't meet sales and credit goals. Smile I am also planning to shut down the Fantasy Macy's in Brooklyn! It's costing us a fortune with all this paid time off, Macy's Money, and internal SHRINK and shoplifting going on! We're turning into a Starbucks.

Now Polli, after reviewing your score card, I have decided to start with you. Starting today and until further notice you will pay Macy's $3.87 an hour to work for us. YOU COUNT!

Next on my list to review is MAYcylady, Norma, Bell, Huds, and Money. Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad
