Home Depot to layoff 7000 and close 34 stores on a format that never even worked during the boom years .

Good news HD says it will keep bonuses and 401 contributions for non execs-many won't get things like raises/bonuses .
HD all but admitted overbuilding to capture a market but the saturation from the boom years is going to start drying out ; FAST .
