I have been with Lowe's over 5 years now, I have been a department manager for over a year. I been offered a job with HomeDepot in another town making more money. I want to know is Lowe's better or HomeDepot?

If you are in the Northeast, I would not recommend. Be sure to take the length of your current employment into consideration. In this uncertain economy, Iis it smart to give up 5 yrs for a new beginning (especially @ Depot)? Think long and hard.

I wouln't move right now, you could find yourself in a dead end at any company right now. I've seen it happen in mine, where a person we hired didn't pull the sales weight after he left a good job & we're having to say bye-bye after 150 days! I mean if you go to a new environment & don't generate positive results, they can cut you loose in 90 days, no issues on their end.

definitely should consider staying with Lowe's at this point in time. You've been doing something right being there for 5 years now and Depot is laying off what seems like more and more employees every day.
