Totally depends on the area of the country ($38K - $50K round-about). You'd probably end up making more than a Sales Specialist but several ZM's have told me that their base salary isn't s---. They hardly earn a "living wage" unless the store bonuses. And that's "bonuses" - plural. Good luck with the program. I've passed on it several times, even with the urging of my store manager. Didn't want 50+-hour work weeks.

I have been a zone, making just under 40K not including bonuses. My first year, the store bonused and I made almost another 10K, the year after that the bonus was only 3K, since then ... no bonuses. I'm now a department manager (I stepped down as the zone I was over no longer exists) and am making more than I was as a zone. To put it in perspective, my first year as a zone, say I made 50K but I put in 55 and 60 hour weeks, which makes my per hour rate : $16.00 and change an hour. As a department manager (I took a 10% cut when i stepped down) I make more than that per hour on a 40 hour week. So, by the math, as a Zone on my best bonus year in the company I made less per hour than I do now as a department manager...
